The most awaited DVD of Boxoffice Potboiler "Leader" is releasing this Friday in 24FPS progressive format. Sekhar Kammula, the director of "Anand", "Godavari" & "Happy Days", once again created records at Box office with his latest "Leader".
"Leader", The Biggest Super Hit in 2010, is a noble and idealistic movie from the director Sekhar Kammula. The intent of Sekhar Kammula to make a movie for corruption free politics should be appreciated.
The title role of Leader needs an actor of tremendous ability to do justice and RaNa Daggabati comes up with a fabulous performance. It was a brave decision by Sekhar Kammula to cast a newcomer like RaNa and he justifies it by doing excellent work. His voice is his best asset. He can speak Telugu in a highly authoritative manner.
The film catches up pace since the beginning scene and gives a captivating feel by interval. Audiences found themselves meditatively pulled towards the screen. That’s the magic created by the director. The scenes run faster from then and culminate into climax in idealistic tone. It’s a sincere effort by director with his understanding. Audiences connect to it connecting the movie to the present political conditions. There are many moments in the film where the director touches the hearts of audiences and pulls tears from eyes. On a whole it’s a sincere and good product.
The film also delivers some idealistic ideas of smoking out black money from public to avoid making the state indebted to World Bank et al. It’s a sincere effort by the director to sketch the present political scenario in independent India. He has chosen the theme of corruption by politicians as main curse to system. Many films have come on corruption. And it’s a different version.
