Venkatesh has stolen the limelight with his excellent performance and has made the audiences remember his famed police story Gharshana. His physique, body language, dress code everything perfectly suits the role. Moreover, he has given an exemplary performance as a sincere police officer, who is very serious in handling a tough situation. His stylish performance in ordering his subordinates make the audiences give a wide applause.
There is a serious criticism in Tollywood that multi-starrers are not coming up now-a-days unlike earlier days. Eenadu has come up on the Telugu screen giving a fitting reply to this criticism with Kamal Hassan and Venkatesh playing almost equally important roles.
Written by Neeraj Pandey, “Eenadu” has breathtaking pace throughout its narration. A sense of urgency is ubiquitous in everything that occurs on screen. The film also owes its impact to a sensible and sensational portrayal of both Venkatesh and Kamal Hassan. While Venkatesh is at his usual best in the role of a cop; Kamal Hassan’s portrayal of a common man is the focal point of the entire story. The whole drama follows the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, with every phone call from Kamal changing the whole equation which hits a crescendo towards the end. Both these actors are wonderfully supported by Dr.Bharat Reddy and Ganesh Venkataraman, both enacting as cops in Commissioner’s office.

Former Police commissioner Eshwar Prasad (Venkatesh) recalls the one day that changed his life forever. The story begins with the call he gets from a stranger (Kamal) who says that bombs have been planted across various parts of the city. What is assumed to be a prank turns out to be real with a bomb close to the police headquarters. Eshwar takes matters seriously and ropes in two of his best men Gautham and Arif Khan (Ganesh) on the job. The stranger demands the release of four most wanted terrorists responsible for bomb blasts in the city and across the nation. After a while, Eshwar complies to the demand and gets the accused to the said site. However, a sudden surprise awaits the police force and also those who were expecting a typical release. What is that and why it happens forms the rest of the story.
