A predictable tale, the story begins with Perumal (mammootty) who is a crime branch officer and he is assigned the task of locating the culprit responsible for the poisoning of the state chief minister Vasudevan (nedumudi). The CM is in the hospital under critical state and he has an opponent in the form of the party secretary (Saikumar). While Perumal is on his work, a professional killer (siddique) enters the scene to finish the CM. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
