Debutant Rajapandi’sEnnamo Nadakkuthu is a racy edge of the seat thriller with lots of twists and turns, till the very end. The milieu and its characters look realistic, and the film is smartly packaged like a masala entertainer and it delivers the goods.
Every character in the film has a well etched role. Mahima looks cute and plays a pivotal role while Saranya Ponvannan for a change has given new dimension to her regular mother role and she is a treat to watch.The film works due to its speed, earthy dialogues, performances from its actors and a cracker of a climax.

The story set in North Madras revolves around a guy coming from the lower strata of society who falls in love with a nurse. Vijay (Vijay Vasanth) is a contractor for sticking film posters in North Madras area. He is a rough, uncouth guy who at times in a drunken mood beats up his mother (Saranya Ponvannan), but makes up with her at the end of the day by buying her favourite Biriyani! He falls in love with the educated Madhu (Mahima) a nurse in a hospital.
However he gets caught in a cat and mouse game being played by a ruthless corrupt politician Burma (Rahman) and a cunning businessman Parthipan (Prabhu) who has a score to settle. One of them holds his girl to ransom, as the other has stolen the money entrusted to him!
