K Vishwanath is one of the legends of the Telegu film industry delivered nothing less than excellence such as Shankarabharanam, SagaraSangamam, SwathiMuthyam, etc. His name inspired respect for having stood his ground despite the stereotypical masala films prevailing in the eighties. He carved out his own niche by making movies that  has a perfect mix of dance and music, this film is no exception to it. All the songs both romantic and regular songs are exceptionally picturised well.

Allari Naresh is good at bringing his character to life. Plus, it is he who provides the audience with some really identifiable emotions. Allari Naresh made people laugh with his timing and dialogue delivery.

Manjari Fadnis is really beautiful and in a few frames she looked like Jayaprada. She performed really well with wonderful nativity. Much of the reason Subhapradam might stand a chance is its immensely watchable heroine. This is a heroine-centric flick, and Manjari Phadnis evidently has the kind of classic beauty that you'd find in most K Viswanath flicks.

Clearly, the intent was to promote old-fashioned goodness - service to elders, an appreciation of fine arts, natural healing, honesty, selflessly helping the helpless, and a caution against materialism. The flick could serve to soothe certain sensibilities with its vintage stamp - in the mannerisms of characters, or in the dialogues and the subtlety of the humour.

It’s a different experience watching a film that does not boast or need foreign locales, item numbers, elaborate fight sequences, stylish actors, etc. You wish that there were more such films !!!

Most of the film have been shot in beautiful locales of Alappuzha in Kerala and the remaining part on the banks of river Godavari. The cinematographer Venugopal should be commended for capturing the beauty of Kerala with his camera.

Indu (Manjari) is a music loving girl. Her mother is a Malayali and father (Vizag Prasad) Telugu.  She has two younger paternal uncles (Ashok Kumar and Sudarshan) whose wives are from Chennai and Kolkata respectively. She is good at speaking Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Tamil. Chakri(Allari Naresh) falls in her love. Indu happens to encounter a rich man (Sharath Babu) that turns her life. Who is that rich man? The story goes like this. He had a grand daughter by name Sindhu who looks perfectly like Indu. Sindhu dies in an acid attack followed by ragging and hence when he sees the look-alike of his grand daughter in Indu, he follows her. What happens later becomes rest of the movie in this confused story line.
