It remains another story altogether, that it doesn't rain excitement in this film, that agonizingly progresses at a restful pace. This is a film that doesn't think much of the viewers' cognitive abilities and as such, takes everything including their diligence for granted.

 

Someone seems to claim that a world war is being fought, and when it looks like the one in the film, without as much as a whimper, one wonders if the makers did get their title right. I guess the intention must have been to suggest a battle of colossal proportions, but somehow neither the film nor its tale manages to get it across.

Dr Jacob (Tovino Thomas) works in a private hospital in the town. He is not a responsible doctor. He does anything for his personal benefit without any regard for others. This character earns him both friends and foes. Once when he was out of station for some personal needs, some people reach his house in search of him. They follow the doctor from Kochi to Coimbatore. The resulting intriguing events are plotted in ?Onnam Loka Mahayudham?. ?Onnam Loka Mahayudham? is the debut directorial venture of Sreevarun. Aparna Gopinath is the heroine. She does a strong role as police officer Tara Mathew. Nishanth Sagar, Chemban Vinod, Jojo, Balu Varghese, Kalabhavan Rehman, Balachandran Chullikkad, Chembil Asokan, Vijayakumar, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Leshoy, Sajil, Gokul, Anjali Upasana also form part of the cast. The script is written jointly by Hariprasad and Rishi Surya. Govind Menon tunes music for the lines by Dinnath Puthencherry.
