A thought provoking tale, the story begins with Ashwathy (kavya) who lives in Kerala and gets a chance to go to Saudi Arabia. Incidentally, her husband dies unexpectedly and Ashwathy has to run the family and meet the financial demands. She takes the help of Usman (suraj) and gets there. However, the worse comes in the form of her sponsor and their family. Ashwathy begins to go through some severe mental and physical abuse and much to her surprise, she finds many of the other Gaddamas in the same situation. She decides to escape from the home and is charged with robbing jewellery. A social worker Razaaq Thottekad (sreenivasan) decides to locate Ashwathy and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
