Akku Akbar's 'Mathayi Kuzhappakaranalla' is a film that is a late entrant on screen. If you find yourself asking what's new in the conflict here or in the drama for that matter, do not be surprised, since 'Mathayi Kuzhappakaranalla' is an uninspiring mishmash of much familiar events that are spread out into a predictable tale.
Mathayi (Jayasurya) is an auto rickshaw driver who has the best of everyone's well being in mind. Mathayi wouldn't mind hovering over to extreme ends to help people in distress. Often his naive interferences land himself and the subjects of his affection in trouble, but that doesn't deter Mathayi from being the helpful soul that he is. Mathayi's helping hand leads Dr. Nandakumar (Mukesh) and his wife Geetha (Lekshmi Gopalaswami) onto crisis land, while the young man strives hard to bail them out of the mess that they are in.

Mathai (Jayasurya), a native of Thrissur, is an auto driver. He is very innocent and is always ready to help others in their needs. He interferes in the matters of others necessarily and unnecessarily with the intention to help them. But contrary to his expectations, usually he and others get into trouble. The life of Dr Nandakumar (Mukesh) and his wife Geeta (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) turns topsy-turvy with Mathai’s influence. The resulting events are plotted hilariously in ‘Mathai Kuzhappakaranalla’. Bhama plays a nurse, who is the fiancée’ of Mathai. The story, script, and direction of ‘Mathai Kuzhappakaranalla’ are by Akku Akbar. Children’s story writer Sippy Pallippuram writes the lyrics of the movie. ‘Mathai Kuzhappakaranalla’ is produced by Anto Joseph.
