Lasagu Usaga, An Award winning Movie throws light on socially relevant issues like Nirbhaya Rape Case in Delhi against the background of a love story. This Movie won 2 Kerla State Awards.

The makers of Malayalam movie Lasagu Usaga are feeling the heat of censorship. It’s the climax of the movie that prompted the examining committee of the censor board to use its scissors.
“The committee members told us that they were shocked to see the climax of the movie that portrays in Nirbhaya Rape Case, including the increasing incidents of rape in the society,” said Praveen, the producer of Lasagu Usaga .
Stating that the censor board members wanted a new climax for the film, Mr. Praveen wondered how it could be done as it impinges on the creative freedom of people who worked behind the film.
Mr. Praveen said they planned to wage a democratic battle against the censor board. We will submit a request before the board to watch the movie again. Otherwise, we would have to complain before the revision committee, he said.

The last bus from Kochi city to a far away apartment in Kochi starts going. There are only a very few number of passengers. Manu (Govind Padmasurya) and Deepthi (Kavya Suresh) are lovers who continue to be in a dream world in the bus. Manu is an IT professional in Thiruvananthapuram.
Deepthi is a native of Kochi. They are returning to the apartment after spending a day together. The other main passengers include the plus 2 students Atul (Ganapathi), Noel, Anjali, and Babi. Atul who left his apartment after a fight with his mother is returning to his flat. Each of the passengers who boarded the bus gets down and finally Manu and Deepthi are left alone. The following day’s news headline upsets everyone. The resulting intriguing events are plotted in ‘Lasagu Usagha’.
