I just want to congratulate Shalimar on a job well done. Its great that this company has finally decided to become quality conscious. Great first effort. If they keep this quality and improve on this, we can proudly say that it can join Kad/idream and bhavani in delivering quality DVDs to telugu viewers. Since Shalimar is based in India and because they seem to own a lot of DVD rights, we can expect good days ahead IF THEY KEEP UP OR IMPROVE ON THIS QUALITY.
VIDEO: THIS IS A TRUE ANAMORPHIC DVD. THe clarity is very good with good sharpness and contrast. Some long shots show visible grain but not bad at all. The problem with the video was that it was inconsistent. Some scenes had great colors and contrast while some looked pale.
AUDIO: YES, it is Dolby 5.1 digital audio. It was heavy and active. A little too heavy I thought. Some high pitched dialogues and music has noticable distortion in the front channel.
Verdict: Its time to encourage Shalimar for the quality consciousness. Hope they just continue their new pledge and improve from here on. Movie is very entertaining.
