The technique used to narrate the story is what Mani Ratnam adopted in his latest film 'YUVA'. That is to show a scene first in a shocking way and then falling back on the main story line and then connecting the first shot with the latter scene almost at half time. We find two young men with pistols in hand discovering a box with wads of currency notes lying at a bizarre spot. They also notice bodies strewn everywhere. Then the film breaks into rural drama, showing these young men behaving wayward. They tease girls, consume Toddy and get busy with playing cards. Rambabu (Phani) and Chandu (Venkataramana) are great friends and do everything together, including looting money from a land lord's house and also from a site where they find this box later. Chandu is already in love with the daughter of this landlord.

One day they receive call letters for an interview for police posts. They get selected and start receiving training. There too they continue with their pranks and earn the wrath of the DIG, who withdraws them from training and asks them to become informers. In course of this job they face two Mafia outfits and beat them to pulp. The DIG appreciates their bravery and employs them to trace Mafia, involved in printing and distributing fake currency. The two follow their track and end up at this lonely location where they saw this box with money. They decide to keep the money to themselves and use it to resolve all their problems including getting married to their sweet hearts. However, they are afraid of being caught by the police. Suddenly this film's director Ramana Reddi springs a surprise appearing on the screen and demanding half the booty of about Ten Crore rupees, lest he will sure become informer to the police and get them arrested. It is now the turn of the DIG to hurl another surprise by claiming that the fake note printing machine is in his possession and wants to sell it for Ten Crores. The customers are the underworld. The two young friends are caught in this mire and rest shows how they wriggle out of it. And get the DIG too booked.
