The story begins with a foreign officer (joshua) who comes with his Muslim wife (megha) and is all set to unveil a book. It is here that another person (vinay) comes in and he speaks about his troubled past which involves a failed love affair with a girl as her father Sankaran (rajat kapoor) finds out horoscopes don't match. In between this, there is a corrupt mayor Durai (ashish vidyarthi) who is out to allow a project for his own greedy benefits. The story takes a further turn when the stranger's foreign wife (linda) turns up. And finally, it is the Dam which breaks one day and brings about these various characters together. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
